Emailing is the next best thing so ask Mel for my email address. Would love to chat with you, especially since we're on the exact same day of the protocol.

I was on antidepressants and pain meds for headaches and back pain for many years. Went cold turkey off them almost 2 years ago, which was hard, and never felt better in my life. Started rollerblading and running and spending lots of time in the sun with my kids. I am a positive happy spirit and after I stopped all meds, I finally got 'me' back and laughed all day long. Felt wonderful and life was great up until I got sick.

If you were doing okay off them before this started, maybe you should stay off them. One thing I noticed since coming down with this in February is that I have no control over my emotions. An antidepressant won't give you that back right now, I don't think. Time, inner strength and staying on the protocol will. You want nothing to interfere with your treatment.

I know it is daunting looking at the next 18 months. I cried one night thinking that I was on day 1 of the protocol and day 13 of raw veggie diet, with no end in sight for feeling tired and weak. I'm not used to this. I'm used to being happy and healthy and bouncing off the walls. I know it will be a long difficult bumpy road. So as I sat there crying, I told myself 'Just focus on one day at a time. Don't think about the whole cuz it's overwhelming. Take it one day at a time.' That was the beginning of looking forward to being cured and the end of being miserable. I have good days and bad days but know in the end, the bad days will be gone. Yah girl, your future's so bright, you gotta wear shades! :-D

If you really feel the antidepressant will help you, take it for a short while and see. Personally, I will do and take nothing that may feed the beast cuz I want to keep moving forward to restored health. I want my life back, the me from 2 months ago, and I'm going to get it with the help of a positive attitude, determination and faith. You will too. There are also natural supplements you can take (5-HTP?) that won't add fuel to the bonfire that's already burning. I think Logos has a formula. Make the right choice for you then watch for increased activity. Listen to your inner voice. It's there to you and will never steer you wrong.

Look forward to hearing from you and remember, it can't rain all the time, your tears won't fall forever. Keep it up - Monique
