8/18/2013 7:55:12 PM | I am in awe. I just had a profound revelation. I know why that song I keep mentioning 'Can't Rain All The Time' speaks to me so loudly. It is from the movie The Crow in which Brandon Lee's fiance is killed (he dies too but comes back). He misses her. He wants her back.
This song represents my life with this disease. 'We walk the narrow path beneath the smoking skies. Sometimes you can barely tell the difference between the darkness and light. Do you have faith in what we believe? The truest test is when we cannot, when we cannot see...' At these times, it's hard to believe that love/life will prevail. 'When I'm lonely, I lie awake at night, and wish you were here. I miss you.' I miss my life. I want it back.
God speaks to us all. He speaks to me thru this song, reminding me that it won't rain all the time, the sky won't fall forever and though the nights seem long, your tears won't fall forever.
This song should be our anthem. WE WILL PREVAIL! The newly stricken especially need hope that things will get better, and those who hit a rough patch. I dedicate this song to all my fellow warriors no matter where you are in recovery. Love to you all... Monique
