Deb2 11/26/2009 10:12:02 AM | Hi, I have been reading both of your posts and am wondering why you are not having the testing done? Instead of guessing what meds will work for you, why not find our for sure? We do know that all three agents are involved...bacteria, fungus and parasites AND that all three have to be attacked at once. This stuff feeds off of each other. Now that I am on the right meds I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Even if you are opposed to pharmacuticals, this disease needs to be addressed strongly in the begining until your body can fight it on it's own. Please think about being tested. |

I know definitely that my vector was lice and in 91 I had the begging stages of morgellons(although did not know about Morgellons at that time), had them in my nose and the white things coming from my skin but was able to take care of the lice and morgellons within a week when it mutated to Morg. Although not realizing at that time that I had morgellons and that I really did not kill it but it laid dormant till now. When I got lice again in July the stuff I was getting out of my head were both lice and some weird stuff that was big so I know it had not just formed. At first I could not connect the dots but later I got proof and it all fell into place. But because the lice seem to want to embeded in my scalp I could not get any Drs. to believe me. Anyway, the Dr. I have now is a MD, Homepathic and Naturopathetic Dr. and agreed to treat me even though she knew nothing about M. and I told her it started with lice. To get started she agreed to give me the Bactrim because she says it does kill lice and the limbral because I told her I was on Mel's protocol and showed her. Then she did the blood test and the stool and urine was to be done at the next appt. She called me to go over my blood test and said it showed my immune system was all messed up (some tests said I had lupus) so she told me to add 2,000 of C. 10,000 of D and 1,000 of B12. Because I was still getting eggs after a month of being on Bactrim. I know that there are several medications used to treat scabies (which is what they use to treat severe cases of lice and body lice that won't go away) And because lice has been around so long and the medications have been used for awhile they build up a resistance to some of the medications. So I figured by using the two may have better results for Ivermectin/Stromectol is usually the last thing chosen to perscribe to kill resistant cases of lice or scabies. I get my urine and stool results on the 7th of Dec. I know I definitely have the mites too so I wanted to hit it hard. Virgin Saverley of SF was prescribing both Bactrin and Stromectol for her patients that had morgellons and claims it works for majority of her morgellons patients. The stromectol would be the only think I have not used that is recommend to kill lice. So hopefully it will be right one or may need the combinations which I heard some docs are doing. Thank you again for the suggestions and I really do appreciate your in put. Linda |

I can only tell you that althought the tests will not show 'specific' parasites, it WILL show you what natural anti-parasiticals your body will repond to. therefore, the tests are helpful in that area. To me what the test said was 'yes' I have parasites even though it couldn't tell me specifically which ones. I have taken TIndamax (prescription) and it helped, but I do not believe my problem was mites. Believe me, I am only tring to help in any way I can think of. Deb2 |
