Interesting and useful post. Another good example that clearly illustrates how medical professionals get things wrong, or just don't know. Deciding to accept a medical diagnosis and the accompanying prescriptions sometimes just doesn’t make sense.
What makes better sense is to look more at our own medical history and lean on our own personal experience. Your history of cold sores should persuade you that you have viral overload. Shingles is viral. So this makes sense.
Morgellons pathogens and these co infections adapt the properties of bacteria, virus, fungus, and protozoa and then support and reinforce one another. So, I agree with your conclusion that you are likely experiencing another aspect of your continuing detox.
View the blisters as viral and treat the expression of them with anti viral foods, like Monolaurin, while increasing water intake to help eliminate the die off.
I would research the Valtrex for side effects and toxicity. It is not prescribed for long term use, so taking it in the short term should safely allow you to determine for yourself if has good properties for relieving or reducing symptoms. Then you build on the results you see and what it teaches you for the future.
Thanks for sharing! Peter
