4/14/2015 8:12:52 AM | Hello everyone, So this week I am up to 20 drops of MMS. I have not experienced the herx reaction yet and after speaking with Mel, was told that the max would be 22 drops if I don't reach a herx reaction before then. At that point I will stop for three days and resume my maintenance dose at 19 drops. As far as symptoms, I still experience the stinging sensations and pin pricks on my skin and sometimes cuts on my hands. I have bright red and brown dots on my skin that never heal. The calves of my leg and my belly swell up hard as a rock during the day but then return to normal each morning. This has been going on for a few months. I thought it was from salt so I stopped eating it but it didn't make a difference. The nightly leg and food cramps are still happening but now not every night, so there are times when I get a full nights uninterrupted sleep. I have stopped eating grains including Quinoa to see if that helps with the stinging. I also reluctantly quit eating carrots....so hopefully this is the answer to the stings. It's so difficult to figure it out with so many issues that could be at fault, like the full moon, environment, stress, food etc. but it's all trial and error as I am learning. I am bathing in 50 drops of MMS every second day and washing my underclothing in MMS. I also wash the floors with MMS and spray counters with it. I have been using a Neem Shampoo and Conditioner for my hair and it seems to be working good. I use organix mascara and liner as my only makeup for work. On weekends, I try not to use any of it. I am still using coconut and Thieves oil daily for my body after my morning shower and on weekends I use it in my hair and on my face if I am not going anywhere special. I just wear a pony tail in a ball cap to cover that oily hair and face look. We try to buy organic for some of what they are calling the "dirty dozen foods" that we eat which is quite expensive but we feel is important for our healing. Some of these foods are celery, spinach, lettuce, kale, sweet peppers, cucumbers. My husband is always researching about chemicals in foods so we have become even more aware then before of what we are eating and have added cauliflower and broccoli to our organics list. We eat most of our food raw or just lightly steamed. Salads are the basis of most of our meals and the steamed foods are added to it. I am trying to find an organic bulk nuts company in Canada to order from. I did find one online store that was out of stock for almonds and walnuts (which are the only two nuts I eat now), so I am still searching. If there are any Canadians out there that know of any local companies, please let me know. I want to make my own nut butters as just a jar of almond butter is $17.00 plus tax here and we use that up in a short time. Overall, life is getting better and I am feeling stronger and more positive about my choice to follow this protocol. 18 months is a long and expensive time to commit but I have already done it for 5 months and we are managing to get by! I am also hoping that I am one of the lucky ones who heal in a shorter period of time! Best wishes for a quick recovery to all of the warriors on this site!! Kim |
