Hello

I want to share with you a perfect example of how reading here becomes instrumental to recovery. I think this demonstrates that those who reach significant levels of remission, first gather sound information from Mel’s web site.

During a conversation with a newly stricken woman recently, I was asked what I thought about the role that xenoestrogens were playing in Morgellons. I was quite surprised! She went on to tell me that endocrine disruptors, called xenoestrogens, are fungal mycotoxins which can further suppress thyroid function, leading to secondary opportunistic infections. She said that fungi, soil-based bacteria and the parasitic organisms such as collembola or rotifer feed on them, and have evolved incredible mechanisms to withstand prolonged harsh conditions. Now I am just floored! Most newly stricken individuals have no knowledge about such things.

I asked her how she knew this. She responded that she was reading to me from “Hope for Morgellons Mystery” that she found in the articles section on Mel’s web site. She was reading to me directly from the article. She went on to tell me that she learned about Candida, biofilms, and restoring the bioterrain from the same article.

Wow. There you have it. Just how important and useful it becomes when you read here. I can tell you that this woman will now have a much greater chance for success. She is also now so much less fearful than before.

Blessings,
Peter

Hello all,

I want to add my thoughts on reading the information on this website.

In the beginning, I had a really hard time focusing on anything, so I printed out the protocol pages and some of the threads and read them when I could. It took three weeks. I wasn't able to focus for very long reading on my computer.

Then I cut and pasted things, like the schedule of supplements into a notebook, and always left it out to read. I also kept a typed list of cleaning products and food items and brought that with me when I went shopping.

One benefit of a limited diet is that when I shopped I could keep it really simple and fly through the store in no time.

When I first introduce myself to a new person on the phone or online, I always ask if they read the back pages and if they keep up with the new forum posts each day. Then I am better able to fill in a specific answer to a question, rather than try to convey the entire list of things to do, eat, clean with, etc.

After being cured two years, I still read the forum each day.

The conference calls helped when I was too tired to read.

There is really no other way to get the information we need to conquer this disease.

Stay strong!

Ellen

WHY READ HERE?
"Read, read, and then read some more"........4 years ago this was Mel's advice to me during our very first conversation.
His advice was right on, and I started reading every blog on the site.
TIP: I don't think you have to start back from the beginning since so much has changed over the years. You can determine if it is best to go back one year, maybe two or three years, and then start from there. And after reading so many blogs you can usually zero in on the ones that you feel offer the best advice for what you or your family is experiencing.
I would strongly suggest that you do not trust your memory because it will quickly be overloaded with information. What I did was make file folders and made notes or I would copy and paste a blog to a word document and then highlight the information that I thought was beneficial for what I needed.
Here are some of the titles I had for my file folders: Logos supplements, other supplements, herbs, spices, what foods to eat and not to eat, organic foods, cooking 101, acidic - alkaline, cleaners, how to clean, insects, mites, exterminators, different articles on Morgellons, Lyme disease, etc., etc.
The reason why this is so important is that we all know how overwhelming this disease can be, especially in the first few months. So when you get fatigue or brain fog you will not remember the material that you read so you have to refer to the information you have saved in your notebook or file folders, or on your computer.
Even now I still have every single bit of information I saved, which includes all the file folders I created in my computer. Recently someone asked me why Moringa is so good for the body. I know it repairs damaged cells but I had to look at my notes so I could give a more complete answer.

And now you know why it is so important, to "Read, read, and then read some more" ….thank you Mr. Mel

Healing can sometimes feel like a long, long, journey that will never end, but for those of us that are healed and experienced that journey, we know that if you stay focused and use your will power to stay committed, and have regular conversations with God, you will make it across the finish line……and that’s a good thing….. ?

Blessings to all of you,
Bill M.
