Like Terry, I am at a loss as to how I could ever thank you for all that you have done for me and for this community. If it were not for you, I would be long dead, my husband a widower, and my children left without a mother. The grandson of a Rabbi, Mel was no doubt destined for spiritual awakening from an early age. When Mel was just a small boy, God spared him from being eaten by an enormous shark which bumped against him. Deeply frightened but grateful for being spared, Mel made a promise to God, and to the fish of the world, that he would never eat a fish again in his life. And he has not, to this day. God again spared Mel his life when he was stricken with Morgellons, and very near death. God sent a bird as a messenger that time, and Mel sensed God's presence and promise when he looked into the eyes of that beautiful creature. Mel promised God that he would devote the rest of his life to God, and to helping others overcome this dreaded disease, if God spared him. And God did. Mel has kept his promise to God, and has devoted his entire life to serving others, for the glory of God. Mel goes to bed very early, and rises long before dawn so that he can be there for sufferers in different time zones around the world. I have been coached by Mel for the past two and a quarter years--sometimes waking him up accidentally or calling him on his off day, when I was in a particularly bad way. He has made me laugh through my tears, he has given me tremendous comfort when I needed it, and he has given me hope when I had none. God bless you, Mel, on your birthday, now and forever more! You have saved my life, as you have saved the lives of so many. I do believe I will be doing the happy dance right after Terry does hers in the spring! Every night, I ask God to bless Mel, and I pray that God heals each and every one of you dear people in this wonderful community.
