Seasons Greetings Everyone,
After watching " Star Of Bethlehem " a second time and pondering the coming event of the Bethlehem star, I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write this poem. Hope you enjoy it!!
The Star
I lay upon my cushioned mat and looked up into the sky.
And there to the east, a star I see that shines so bright and high.
It stands out among the other stars; it seems bigger and so bright.
It's shining brilliance lights the sky in the darkness of the night.
So magnificent is this star, it's twinkle and its glow...
It's something special I can feel.....as sleep claims me oh...so slow.
And then I dream about a king of lowly rank and birth,
Who loves and cares like no one can and will someday save the earth.
A prince among the many, who will one day rule the nations,
Bringing peace and love and harmony to all and God's creations.
And then I see.........He is a babe lying in a manger,
In a stable far away safe and out of danger.
And above the stable, high in the sky, there is that shining star...
That lights the way for all mankind to redemption of the heart.
I awoke in the early morn still dark and looked to find the star.
It still was there, shining bright, but did not seem so far.
Somehow I knew, by my dream, that He had finally come!
Our blessed awaited Messiah, the Hope, the Lamb, the One.
