1/24/2018 9:02:55 AM | Hello SYMPTOMS:Tinier itchy pimples than before... are they even still there...?, dry skin, peeling skin, itchy skin in shower Changes *I'm doing yogurt in my diet since it's helped my skin so much. *I've also decided to add green apples back since I don't think it's effecting me. *no longer need clove oil on skin, coconut oil alone works *Though I've been doing magnizyme, magnifical, and msm, I've been clumping them differently than in the protocol for time's sake. I'm going to try this week to start getting into the habit of doing them exactly as recommended on the Mel's protocol page. Yesterday I experienced a little bit of a witch hunt. But before I go into that, I need to back up the story a little bit. As you guys know, my roommate also has itchy pimples on his body. Unfortunately, his are way worse than mine have ever been. It hurts my heart because he covers up completely in shame, his welts look so painful. It's been hard because he doesn't believe me when I talk to him about his diet. I told him that I believe we suffer from folliculitis of candida. However, he doesn't listen or want to take most of my help. He gets offended when I ask him if maybe he thinks his symptoms are far more severe due to his diet; I mean, he feeds his body so many sugars! I also believe him to be an alcoholic. (I grew up with a father who was one, so I can spot one very quickly.) Neither can be good for this! Anyway, we live with another roommate who also owns the house. I found out a couple days ago from him (while he was drunk) that Chris has been complaining to him about the fact that he thinks I gave him scabies. The conversation was very unfair and very one-sided. I said that some of what was said wasn't accurate and that happens when two people talk without the other person involved. I suggested we clear the air by all three of us talking together when neither of them were drunk. Unfortunately, this conversation didn't go as well as I'd hoped. Instead of letting three people talk, it was mainly them picking me apart about for diet and supplements. In the past, I have explained to them that I have lyme and multiple chemical sensitivitie and was told that they thought I instead could be secretly trying to cure myself of scabies, and that I needed to see a doctor instead of self-diagnosing myself and others with things. (Tomm the owner of the house took offense to me telling him that I thought Chris had a drinking problem that went along with the Candida.) I told them both that I would go see a doctor in March and both could go with me and hear it from him/her that I do not and never have had scabies. They've got it in their heads that the reason why I itch is because I am too stubborn to go see a doctor that can "cure" me of all my ailments with permethrin. In reality, I avoid doctors because I've learned enough from this site and my own studies to know most doctors can't help. Instead, going to a doctor and reporting symptoms of our multiple chemical sensitivities and lyme can have them questioning our mental states. And that's what happened to me last night with my roommates; my mental state was sincerely questioned. In fact, everything I've done for my health was seen by the two of them as insanity. I'm okay with them making fun of my diet; it happens a lot in my household. But as they went down the list of things I do for my health, it wasn't approached with curiosity but with judgement. And sadly made two ordinarily kind people downright cruel. They ahd me sit on a footstool shivering in the cold while one sat in a recliner under his blanket and the other sat on the sofa. Tom made it clear I wasn't allowed to sit on the sofa in the living room anymore until the doctor said I was okay. I tried to not take it personally that I was being viewed as a crazy, lying, leper, and also tried to remind myself of their side of things. But the whole thing was hard and hurt a lot, and there came a point where I had to end it and tell them that I couldn't take it anymore. The whole thing shook me up so badly that I was tempted once again just to take Ivermectin, but I reminded myself of my promise. Let's end this on an upbeat note. I want to spin this traumatic event around, so here it goes! My word of the week is 'persevere' and I did. I'm proud of the way I handled a stressful situation and tried to remain civil and respectful to people who were tearing me down. I'm also proud of myself for standing up for myself and defending myself when people over-stepped lines of respect. I'm a people pleaser by nature and am thankful my roommates gave me this chance to see what it's like to be looked at in an unfavorable manner and to know that I'm now strong enough not to let it break me. I also like knowing that even though last night was unfair, if Chris ever turned to me and asked me for help with his healing, that I would be there in a heartbeat to help him heal. I'm also excited that I woke up with practically no pimples. WOOHOOWOOHOO! Just white dandruff flakes and a few tiny pin-size scabs here and there! The yogurt/milk mix and Mel's protocol are really working. I want to thank Mel today for having this forum up. The forum isn't just helpful for finding information, it's also good for the soul to write on it. (Consider using it as a therapeutic tool for yourself. You can change the name of you and your friends and family.) It's hard for me to get the motivation to post, and I usually start up then disappear, but I have noticed that I'm more positive and stronger as a person when I do write, so I'm going to try to keep that up this time. Thanks for everything, Mel. |
