While pH can be an issue that complicates recovery, tracking it and trying to manipulate it should not be a primary focus. If we eat a healthy and balanced diet our bodies will naturally be slightly alkaline. We are omnivores and designed to eat a wide variety of foods in order to acquire all the vast array of nutrients needed for our bodies to thrive.
While a diet of mostly meat is definitely acidifying, occasional small servings of high quality meat are not. Vegetables, salads, fruits, nuts, seeds etc. should form the bulk of our diet but the high quality protein in eggs and meats are helpful in moderation. |
