Hi Daya,

I've heard about you so often from Mel...and it really touched my heart that my words inspired your first post.

What a journey you've been on!

Your story reveals that you are a deeply spiritual person who is aware and enlightened far beyond basic ego needs. It takes much to get to this kind of insight and understanding, and it can only arise from the ashes of baptismal by fire.

You've been so brave and it takes a very big person emotionally to have to work around other's ignorance by having to discredit yourself (on the surface) to accommodate someone else's concrete thinking.

That must have been so hard...but it definitely makes YOU the much smarter "bigger" person. You are very wise in that you understood that you weren't going to change your husband's mind once he'd made it up, so you basically sacrificed your own ego to keep the waters smooth. That takes an ego that is very strong and well in place...iron clad self-esteem and the ability to accept other people for who they are. That is not easy...but you definitely took the high road.

On another note...I'm so happy you're 80% well now. Congratulations! I'd heard about how rampant this disease is in Hawaii, and I applaud you for doing all the things you've been doing to get yourself to this point of wellness. If it's so prevalent in a particular area, then the environment is obviously a key factor you have to work around at all times...and that probably makes it even harder than what others of us deal with who live in different parts of the world.

It was so good to "hear" your "voice" in this post. I hope you'll continue to join in and share your perspective. You have much to add to our community.

Love,

Karen
