Ah Mel good choices with your favourite films:-). I agree that films can be a great way to ease anxiety and everyone with toxic disease needs a respite from the stress of this illness absolutely!

Films give our minds something else to focus on. That shift in attention also slows down overthinking for a while.

'My Blue Heaven,' is both light and chaotic in a harmless way:-). Who doesnt love Steve Martin! His films never feel too serious so they are easy to relax into!

Mel Brooks eh! He's iconic isnt he. A master of full on almost surreal absurdity! Definetely, 'Blazing Saddles,' with its fun and frolics would take people's minds off their troubles.

'After the Sunset,' with Woody Harrelson, Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek is laid back humour, smooth with a slower pace! Just the thing to ease people's minds!

I love watching films. Anything that takes your mind off the day to day worries is good.

I watched stand up comedy from Sheng Wang recently on Netflix called, 'Purple.' I found it really quite endearing how he brought a voice to every day items like the cutlery drawer:-). It was very calm, chilled humour about day to day life. He made me smile and laugh:-)

We all need something lighter to hold onto, even if it is just for a short time! And that break for the mind can be enough to help us feel more grounded. And then we cope better with what we have to deal with.

Love Chrissie

Morgellons - Anxiety

Good morning everyone,

of Anxiety on the Body Anxiety is a normal, temporary response to stress, but anxiety disorders involve excessive, long-lasting fear that interferes with daily life, work, and relationships. Caused by genetics, brain chemistry, and environmental factors, it manifests through physical symptoms like rapid heart rate and nausea, and mental symptoms like constant worry. Common types include Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, and Social Anxiety.

I am sure we all suffer from this, You because you are dealing with toxic diseases and I working with you all are constantly reminded of the horrors of the diseases!

Over time I have found ways to alleviate anxiety, cooking, my plants and veggies, trains, hockey and poker, but the most effective way has been good movies!!!!

Let me recommend a few; My blue heaven....Blazing saddles.....After the sunset..

Feel free to add to the list, the criteria ; either you laughing a lot or you are totally engrossed in the film!

Try it, you'll like it.

God bless,
Mel
