Dear Leslie, I too have been out-raged by the turbulence, violence, and evil that still exist in our society today! On the news and face book, many other stories of abuse and injustices have been brought to light and many of them have brought me to tears. I admit, I was truly shocked to what degree this kind of abuse still goes on. And, I have been remiss in realizing how it has affected you! For that, I am truly sorry!! I have been praying daily for this situation, have cried out to the Lord and at times felt so broken hearted over it, I could not speak, but ask God to know my heart and mind and what I wanted. Some of the stories affected me so......I felt deep anguish!! Life is sometimes hard enough without this kind of injustice heaped upon the heads of innocent people, God's people!! Do they forget that??!! I apologize again for not realizing how this situation was affecting you! You have been such a warrior spiritually and physically for us, and always standing so firm in your commitments to the Lord, to the community, to friendships and to healing, You are our example and tower of strength. But, we forgot that all of us need support, uplifting, and love & hugs no matter who we are!! Please know we do care about you and love you!! You are our beloved sister and when you hurt, we hurt too. As Christians we surely know how God intends us to be and act, we have His wisdom and the Word. Unfortunately, there are those who are still far from Him. The community and I love you dear Leslie!! I am praying for you and that you will feel God's immense love and our love as we wrap our arms around you in prayer and shower you with comfort, compassion, love and big hugs!! We pray it eases the burdens of your heart, the anguish, the sorrow, the fear and you are left with the peace and love that only God can give!! During the Women's Only call next weekend, maybe we could join all of our hearts in prayer and pray for the injustices and turmoil in our society right now.?? What do you think? I am sending you much love and a big squeezing hug!!!! Wish I was there to really hug you and cry with you and pray with you!! But, know my heart and spirit and love are with you!
