And on another note...I'd like to acknowledge Mel for offering the prayer conference calls on Sundays.

There is power in prayer...and the power is amplified when hearts join together for a common purpose. The Bible says...

Matthew 18:19-20 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.“

Only those of us who have had this illness understand how unexplainable it is to others. None of us can find the right words to share the experience, and that's probably a good thing. So...we need to reach out to each other to lighten the load of carrying this alone.

I often think that this health "experience" is a powerful spiritual lesson from the Almighty. It is an accelerated class in learning FAITH and a deep appreciation of what is truly important in life.

I'd also like to thank Mel once again for providing us with a way to form a community. Coming together is powerful for us all on so many levels.

And with this in mind, I'd like to share one of my favorite songs. I find such comfort in this song for several reasons. There are some songs that have an underlying rhythm and beat that is like breathing. The count is like an inhale and an exhale. This song is that way...it's almost hypnotic because of this, and I find that I calm down rather quickly when I hear it.

This song is very simple...it's about coming together to pray in nature. Pure and simple...but powerful. Very comforting too. If you listen to it, try to breathe with the beat...you'll be surprised how quickly you feel a deep sense of calm.

Love,

Karen
