Laura (aunt) 11/8/2017 6:52:17 AM | Peter, I went to the website and used the calculations estimator and at first my BMI was in normal range. However, I read the information regarding my age,and realized I was actually in the low range. Some family members have told me I am too thin. This BMI information has helped me to further realize the importance of diet. In addition, I must find a healthy range for my weight. I believe one more avocado per day will slightly increase my weight while giving me additional vitamin support. The benefits of avocados are: source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids. Thank you for this information as it made me aware of my diet which then made me aware of the many benefits avocados provide. The new slogan should read; an avocado per day keeps the doctor away...... In Christ Love, Laura |
Peter 11/8/2017 8:19:30 AM | Hello Folks Your body mass index (BMI) is an estimate of your body fat that is based on your height and weight. Doctors use BMI, along with other health indicators, to assess an adult’s current health status and potential health risks. So this becomes a good way to assess how well your recovery is doing. The link below should take you to a site where you can calculate what your BMI should be. https://www.aarp.org/health/healthy-living/info-2017/bmi_calculator. Select your height and weight to calculate your BMI. When you click the ‘Calculate’ button, you should be taken to a page with information about your results. I hope this tool will help you understand and then work towards reaching your proper individual BMI. As you recover over time, you will find that the body will tend towards a "set point" as the bio terrain completes the internal restructuring that this protocol brings forth. This will then coincide and support your return to health. Strength and Love, Peter |
