Katherine,

As far as soy is concerned; I agree with Karen and you should avoid it.

The following information is from an article written by Healthline:

Over 90% of soy produced in the U.S. is genetically modified and the crops are sprayed with the herbicide Roundup, which may be associated with adverse effects on health.

The following information is from an article written by Healthline:

Most soy in the U.S. is used to make soybean oil. The waste product is then used to feed livestock or processed to produce soy protein. Whole soybeans are rarely consumed.

Unfortunately any nutrition one might consume through soy would need to consider; where it comes from, how it is processed, and is it worth the risk.

May God Bless you as you begin restoring your health.

In Christ Love,
Laura

Hi kath,

I find, I'm OK with unsweetened soya yogurt and with organic tofu plain (not smoked).

The thing about the soya yogurt is it has no additives and is carb free. It suits me much better than other yogurt.

Try a small amount and see how you go!

Hi Katherine,

I just make it a rule to stay away from soy altogether...but...almond milk is the greatest!

I buy unsweetened almond milk and, most of the time (unless it's unavailable), I buy the organic. The unsweetened is only 30 calories a cup and you can use it in all kinds of things.

I like it in my hot tea and in whey protein shakes.

I've never tried the coconut milk, but some people really like it a lot.

Hope this helps.

Love,

Karen
