Hi Karen,

I know it's really frustrating when you want to add something new into your diet, but your body isn't ready yet. I remember being to envious of people who could eat blueberries and strawberries, but I would get so much crawling if I even had two blueberries. I waited a long time and tried two again, and NO CRAWLING. Everyone's body is different and reacts to foods so differently.
Just keep trying different things from the "Recipe Section" (in very small portions), and you'll find what is right for your body.
Keep up the good work!

All my best,
Kelly

Hi Chrissie and Deanna,

Thanks so much for the recipe's and tips! I've found I can have a few chick peas and still be ok...just not the Beanitos...Drat! They were so yummy with the guacamole...but it was a symptom land mine. Love the roasted chick pea recipe...will try it soon. In the meantime, I found a back of roasted chick peas in the store that were seasoned with only sea salt. They're crunchy and good but not so good that I want to eat the whole bag (a good thing for MD people since the whole thing of anything can trigger dreaded SYMPTOMS). I've used them as croutons on salads and it was great! Don't remember the brand...I've already thrown the bag away...but if I buy them again, I'll share that info.

Prayers for both of you and many thanks for taking the time to respond in such detail.

Karen

Hi Karen!

My apology for not seeing your 6/27/17 post until today!!

I would definitely stay away from the Beanito chips if I had that type of reaction in fact I've never tried them for fear of that type of reaction.

As I mentioned if I eat legumes in their natural, organic, form in moderation I don't have a problem "but" if I eat too many in one sitting or within a week my joints literally start throbbing... mainly in my hands and wrists which is where at one time I thought my RA symptoms were their worst. This legume induced inflammation has even woken me up from a deep sleep at times. So I listen to my body and go slow!!

You are BEYOND blessed to be able to eat strawberries and blueberries and I "truly" long for the day that I can add those back to my diet... it will come... in His time, not mine!!!!

The Carrie's Hamburger Buns are in the 2016/2017 New Recipe thread, and were posted on 7/20/16. There is a beautiful picture of the finished product and they are as delicious as they look!!!! I typically make them a little smaller so that they are more like a dinner roll, I make 6 rolls per batch and they actually look a lot like the rolls at Red Lobster as I don't smooth them out. I'll send a picture to Mel and see if he can include in this post for you.

Again, my apology for the delayed response!!!

Love, Peace & MANY Prayers, my friend!!!!
Deanna
