I've taken the first step...bought two cans of organic chick peas...now I'm going to try roasting them. The recipes with pics I've found on the internet look SO good and look really easy too. It seems you just make sure the chick peas are drained and then dried really well between a couple of paper towels. Then you toss them with some olive oil and bake them at 400 on the middle rack.
You're supposed to season them after they come out of the oven because if you do it before roasting, it can cause them to have a bitter taste. Suggestions for seasonings include curry, rosemary, lemon zest, etc. They're supposed to be crispy while they're still hot, but once they cool, they're supposed to be really good too...but with a more chewy and nutty flavor.
I'm just going to start with a half a can because if they're as good as they sound, I'm sure I'll want to eat all I cook. Want to make sure I don't have any symptoms before I cook more. Will keep everyone posted, and will submit the recipe with a pic if they turn out ok.
