THIS IS WHY SHES AN ANGEL
Hi Chris...I think this is from Chris...right? Please let us know next time so we can respond more personally.

There's a whole thread on cistus tea. It's called, "Anyone know of cistus tea?" and the last post was on 1-29-2018. It has a lot of good information in it, so you might want to read it to find out more.

I drink cistus tea often, but I have to order it because I can't find it in stores. You can find it on Amazon and other places if you google.

You are new and I know that can feel so overwhelming...there's so much to learn...but also know that you have hope and a path to wellness here.

It's not easy...and I know it's also not easy to believe that this will work. That's how I felt. Why believe this way when so many other things are out there that claim success...or partial success? Who is right? What will work? Why doesn't the medical community help us? Why does this way work when so many other ways have failed?

For me the answer to this is when Mel says that he's noticed that people find their way to his site after exhausting everything else and praying for an answer. He's had this told to him time and time again.

Once you accept this as the path to take, then try to relax a little. I know this isn't easy when the symptoms are bothering you constantly...but...do try to do this first so you can get a plan in place.

You asked about cistus tea. It is a helpful, though very small component that you might want to use as an addition...in other words...it is helpful in some ways but you could get well without it. It's not a part of the big picture though. I used to constantly search and search for "something" that would quickly give me relief from the symptoms and get me well. That was just my "magic bullet" thinking...and though totally understandable, that kind of thinking never helped me. Understanding the big picture and the most important components DID help me, so I thought I'd share some thoughts on this topic with you in the hope that it will offer you some insight.

The first things to concentrate on at first are what you eat and getting on the protocol with absolute fidelity.

As per food...it's way less complicated to think of it this way...stay within 30 net carbs a day. To calculate net carbs, just find the number of grams of carbohydrates for the portion size (read label or google), then find the number of fiber grams (same way). Subtract the number of fiber grams from the number of carb grams and that equals net carbs. Keep those under 30 a day and that's your basic structure.

This will pretty much steer your diet toward meats and vegetables, but nuts are pretty low in net carbs too. Nut flours are very helpful...you can use some almond flour and coconut flour...just read the labels and keep track of how many net carbs you are using.

Just start out simple and then when you feel better, you may want to try some of the recipes on the site to have some more interesting foods. I know some may seem complicated...I think that's my fault...I tend to over explain every little thing. It's just my attempt to make things easier and more understandable because I know how hard it is with brain fog...but some of them really aren't hard at all...just over explained.

Something that really helps me is whey protein shakes. You can buy the powder on Logos website. It's kind of pricey but it lasts a really long time. I mix it with almond milk in the blender and it's delicious. I feel like I've had a "treat" and that goes a long way toward helping me manage my attitude.

Mel says to print the protocol page and put it by your supplements. That is a good idea. I took a picture of it and have it on my phone so it's always handy.

I cannot stress enough to you how important it is to take the supplements as directed.

Here's your big picture...basically, you're going to need to get your body built up again so you can have the strength to take the things that will kill the pathogens. Your ultimate goal is to get your body built up enough again so your immune system will come back and get rid of the disease for good.

You do both of these things with the protocol. Take it religiously. I know that sounds bossy...but I'm saying this from experience...I've gotten slack with it from time to time and have made this whole thing last way longer than it would have if I had been disciplined to start it and stay on it religiously.

Once you've gotten some supplements in your system (consult the protocol and Mel for the time this takes), then you can start the extention protocol and the WPS.

Hindsight is 20 / 20...and I'd like to offer you the benefit of my hindsight...don't be afraid of the WPS. I never was really afraid of it...I just hated the taste. I was being a big baby about it and whining a lot. I was feeling sorry for myself and was seeking the path of least resistance whenever possible. Once I finally decided in my heart that I loved feeling better so much more than I hated the taste of WPS, I got myself busy and started taking it. What a difference!

Ok...sorry this answer for cistus tea has gotten so long...but I think you might be doing things I used to do at first...kind of floundering around in somewhat of a panic and trying to find a "thing" that will make it all turn the corner and fast.

It is so true that this thing is only conquered by a multi-pronged approach...as Mel says... "the sum of the parts." I'd like to also add that the total equation is "the sum of the parts" applied consistently over time, plus faith and prayer equals wellness.

Another important factor in getting well is to make the most of this kind and loving community. It's wonderful that you're getting involved. This will help you tremendously.

So...just take that first step and have faith...and then keep on doing it every day.

You will get there!

Love,

Karen
