Morgellons - COME JOIN US, CELEBRATE OUR 13 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HELPING OTHERS RESTORE THEIR HEALTH

This disease changes us. We can proceed with faith and diligence and become finer versions of ourselves or give in to our fear and self-sabotage into lives so isolated and small that they offer little nourishment to sustain our souls.

Thirteen years ago Mel made that choice. He chose courage in the darkness and fought his way through one of the scariest and debilitating circumstances anyone could experience. When faced with a death sentence (in July 13th, 2006 he was told he’d be dead by Christmas), Mel cried out to God and asked for help. He promised God that when he got well he would help others sufferers as well.

God did help, and through this, Mel found a way to treat the Lyme, MSRA, and Morgellons that had taken over his body. It was no accident that he was connected with John B. when he reached out to Logos Nutritionals to get clarification about Thymic Formula. With John’s supplements and expertise, along with Mel as guinea pig, a protocol was developed that cured Mel of each disease. During this time, Mel had also been under his doctor’s care. She told him to proceed with his natural method but monitored him so “no harm” would be done. His doctor was so shocked when Mel fully recovered that she contacted the newspaper and Mel was featured in an article titled, “Reno Man Claims Recovery from Mysterious Disease.”

If we ask and then listen carefully, God will work through each and every one of us for a greater good, and the circumstances in which Mel found himself were surely driven by the hand of God. This is abundantly clear because the upshot from this chapter in his life opened his heart to a greater degree of empathy for others that would not have existed had he not suffered through this nightmare himself. Because of this, and as promised to God, Mel made a commitment to help others through this disease storm for as long as God wanted him to do so.

And thank God Mel rose to the challenge. This disease is not just physical, although the impact of the symptoms are enough to stop the strongest in their tracks. And though the physical symptoms alone are devastating, they're still not the worst part. The worst part is the mind game that we experience when we reach out to the medical community and not only are not helped, but are charged for the not helpful services and then deemed delusional to boot.

We suffer even more in our relationships. Our attempts to explain the nightmare road we’re on to our loved ones are often met with “solutions” that spin us back to the very medical community that let us down in the first place. We are overcome with anxiety and especially the fear that we’ll infect the ones we love. But when we attempt to put measures in place to protect them we are further criticized and deemed delusional because…after all…our loved ones have Google which will serve up a poisonous buffet of mis-information that backs up their doubts and creates newly formed and extremely unhelpful beliefs.

It’s at this point we find ourselves in what I call Old Testament Land…specifically the land of Job. A place where God took everything Job loved away from him to test his faith. And worst of all, we find ourselves going through all of this alone, terrified, and having no idea what to believe or where to start looking for answers. It is at this point we cry out to God and beg for solutions.

Mel has often said that people mention they finally find his site after exhausting everything else and asking God to help. This cannot be coincidence…to me it is a clear sign from God that Mel is doing what he was put here to do.

Mel’s approach is comprehensive…something he calls “The Sum of the Parts.” This is because Mel understands that those of us who suffer not only need direction for health restoration, we also need the support of a community of fellows and even more so a level of spiritual support that can only be maintained by the consistency offered through Sunday’s prayer meeting conference calls.

As we all know, this is not easy to do with a one man show, but Mel perseveres daily sustained by the knowledge that he is doing what God has asked of him. Mel is not a worrier…he just continues to do what God asked him to do daily and prays for all of us.

As of February 3rd Mel’s website will have been in existence for thirteen years. There have been so many visitors to this site over the years, it would be impossible to keep track of the numbers of people who have been helped.

The Saturday, February 5th conference call will celebrate this milestone. Please come and join the community victory over darkness as the evidence of God’s love in our lives is celebrated. Mel invites all who have restored their health or have been helped in any way by this website, and each manufacturer to join together in this conference call to recognize God’s love in our lives.

I believe there are no coincidences…and that God speaks His loving messages to us when we are least expecting it. Just today I stumbled upon a quote from one of my favorite authors that beautifully illustrates the core traits I’m describing in this post. The author is James Lee Burke. He writes crime novels and although I detest violence of any kind, I’m in love with his work because of his prose and his insight into the human plight.

In his book Robicheaux, JLB describes two characters who do good against tremendous odds and in spite of having lived lives that could only be characterized as abusive and colored with heartache. These characters chose to take these hardships and use the empathy they learned to help others rather than traveling down the easier and more destructive roads one might expect.

The quote JLB used to describe them is “…their virtues were poured from a crucible whose heat could not be measured.” I had to stop for a moment when I read this. I felt tears sting behind my eyes since this so eloquently describes the type of situation we in our community have found ourselves. To me it was a clear message…we can choose the direction we take from our hardships and affect the trajectory of our lives accordingly.

This describes Mel and all of us who choose to push through the darkness of this disease with faith, courage, and love. Please join us on February 5th to acknowledge each and every person who is fighting the good fight.

Much love,

Karen

Morgellons - I STILL DREAM OF A CLINIC
I STILL DREAM OF A CLINIC

Karen,

I am one of the most recent newcomers to join Mel’s friends. I loved reading this!

Your celebratory post on the 13th year anniversary of Mel’s life-giving website was beautifully communicated. Your words will be felt personally by all who read this, those who have anguished over this mystery disease, those who were exhausted from searching for answers and seek medical help.

But God…in his infinite Glory and Goodness guided us here as if saying, “Wait, stay here. Look deeper into this website. Answers are here. Don’t be afraid. You will receive help. You will find fellowship. You will find understanding. I am here. I am with you always. These are my people. You will find healing. Abide in me”
Divine intervention. Praise God!

We find a strong community connectedness and we receive an invitation to walk alongside others who understand, love life, love God. and have a sincere desire to help.

We are encouraged to get involved, get organized and get serious about doing what it takes to restore our health. We will be able to get suggestions, find helpful protocols of supplements and participate in informative and uplifting conference phone calls, vocalize questions and concerns, communicate successes, pray with, laugh with and share a similar vision of hope for healing with people who are committed and caring.

This is where hope lives. And you will find many remarkable people, too.

Thank you!

Here’s to healing completely as we abide in Him!
Abiding in Him,
Carol

Mel,

I also wanted to wish you a Happy 13 and to thank you for everything.

If it wasn't for you (and God leading me here), I would be without hope.

Just want you to know that I appreciate you and everything you do, brother!
