Hello All, As mentioned on Sunday's call, I've been keeping myself occupied by making Christmas ornaments for this year's tree. It has really been enjoyable and has allowed my mind to be distracted from the unpleasant things that go along with this disease (if only for a while). Often times I've been depressed not having much to look forward to each day, however I now look forward to making my ornaments and I feel like I have more of a normal life again. Also I have found that while I'm crafting I feel more relaxed, I'm breathing more deeply and am much calmer. It's very therapeutic. I hope that each of you will start doing a hobby or craft that you enjoy and that it will bring some joy into your lives. You may have to push yourself to get started, but once you do it'll be easier the next time knowing how enjoyable it is. Please share your own craft/hobbies on this post along with pictures of your creations (if you don't I'll feel weird for being the only one!). Hi Leslie, You're very welcome and I'm so glad that you like your ornament. Might look nice on a Christmas tree in your fabulous new apartment! If you do put one up, be sure to send me a picture. :) It was so nice meeting you as well my wonderful friend! I enjoyed meeting you in person and getting to spend some time with you was a blessing from above. I hope you enjoyed your party and your visit to the museum. Hi Anna, I would like to say thank you again for the beautiful bird in the nest ornament you gave me when we met last weekend. It’s as beautiful as you are in spirit. Wish I knew how and had the time to learn how to craft but I’ll stick to my calling of ministry lol. Your so gifted in many areas! Leslie | |||
