Thank you for starting this thread, your Christmas decorations are lovely, so clever! I love arty things, in my head I am arty but in practice I'm so not, it is very strange.
I have a go at most things.. I tried crochet but instead of a square I ended up with a cocoon because I couldn't grasp how to crochet a corner, I tried knitting but I could get my tension right so my squares were really misshapen. Had a go at making a patchwork quilt but after stitching 10 4" hexagons together I threw in the towel, the effect just wasn't quick enough for me :)
Here is something I tried a few years back it's called card stitching, the effects can be stunning.
