Hi everyone,
I just wanted to write and tell everyone about my experience trying out the deodorant recipe that was shared from Cathee from Natural Ginesis/Kleen Green. Mel also uses this recipe.
1/3 cup coconut oil 1/4 cup baking soda (aluminum free) 1/4 cup arrowroot starch/flour
6 to 10 drops of essential oils
I used: 4 drops orange oil 4 drops lavender oil 4 drops cedar wood oil
Mel said he uses all lavender. I had also written down a combination of lemon oil, grapefruit oil, and juniper oil (maybe from one of the conference calls), but haven't tried it yet.
Mix it all up in a small bowl until all ingredients are wet and mixed well. Then I put mine in a small jar and had a tiny bit left to put in an even smaller container. It dries hard, but you just have to pinch a little bit and rub it into your pits after you shower, and it will melt as you put it on. It is very easy to use.
It is amazing! I was so surprised how effective it is at keeping my arm pits from smelling bad, even into the second day if I don't shower right away, like on a Saturday morning. It is truly amazing! Try it and you won't be disappointed.
Thanks Cathee and Mel!
