Morgellons -

Hi Bonnie,

I've been following your journey with your sweet baby. I have a small Shitzu she is almost 5 years old and she got fleas last September. I treated her for the fleas and got Morgellons. I have been battling since then.

I wanted to ask what probiotic you got for your dog as I am already giving Dixie 3 drops of Silver in her water and spraying her with Kleen Green each day. After I spray her things come off her stick things and black specks. Dixie itches herself and I'm not sure what to do for that part. This morning she threw up 3 times and I started getting really worried. Dixie is still eating and drinking but she lays around more than she used to.

I think it would be a good idea to give her the probiotic and start giving her the weekly shampoo you referred to in your post. I have not put her on any anitibiotic but I will if I need to. Do you suggest I take her to the vet and tell her I think she has Lyme's to get these things to stop hurting her.

How are you doing with your protocol I have been on mine for about 8 weeks I just started the Lyme's with extension yesterday. I still have stinging and biting with tons of things in my hair and eyelashes. I hope I can start the WPS soon as I think that is what I will need to kill these things off in me.

Thank you for your help,

Lisa W

Morgellons - Anybody seen Holly?
Anybody seen Holly?

Hello Betty and Chrissie,

We started Doxycycline last night, and I think it's already better than the other antibiotic which seemed to make him so miserable at night. At least Potus seemed a little more comfortable at night.

Betty, with my last dog and with Potus, I have gone through a litany of vet labs, and they all turned out negative. With my last lab we even went to a blood specialist, and even that test was negative.

The reason is (I assume, not for certain) that the damage cause by the disease is within the body's cells (subcellular) . Most of the labs today for humans and animals have to do with cell counts and don't get below the surface of a simple count. For both my dogs, cell counts have never been affected, and up to the weeks for my last dog, they still found nothing in the tests.

One overenthusiastic but very kind vet recommended a spinal tap and brain MRI, thinking it was a neurological condition! Luckily I had a really good pet insurance plan that paid for almost all of it. Both of those were negative, and my dog's symptoms worsened.

So in case you feel badly you can't do more with your vet, it's just as well, because those advanced tests won't do anything. Just like for humans, regardless of the labs we take, everything turns out negative.

I would recommend trying doxycycline as an antibiotic as Chrissie suggested, and she says to alternate with Flagyl (metronidazole). I'm trying doxycycline (sounds like doggy-cycling), and hoping for the best.

You're actually lucky your dog is eating because you can get the meds into him (or her). If she doesn't eat, it gets so much more difficult.

I know how you feel about the awful guilt. I brought home Potus as an adorable little 9-week old puppy, bounding with energy, and I watched him slowly decline. I know I did this to him. If he had gone to someone else, maybe he would still be healthy. It's a horrible guilt trip. But I trust in God, in Jesus Christ, and he is the expert in miracles. His miracles are fully documented all over the Bible, and if you believe, he can work. It all depends on our faith. I will pray for you and your Molly, and please pray for me and Potus.

Yes, filaments all over. I have to just ignore them now. I do the best I can cleaning, and I'm past the horror part. Oh, I would suggest making things as easy as you can in terms of cleaning. I had some very cute rugs which made my rooms look beautiful, but they were so much work to vacuum, shampoo especially with Potus. I eventually either covered them with runners or a tarp or removed them completely. Now I just sweep with a broom, and it's so much simpler.

I'm trying to keep my life together, focus on Jesus, especially since we start Lent tomorrow, so I can keep both of us alive - and healthy very soon.

Big hugs to you both.
P.S. It's very hard for me to listen to descriptions of symptoms, so I may not be able to participate often in the calls. My heart is with you, though!
