Hi Katharine, I'm so happy I was able to give you encouragement! Living in a toxic area is distressing...but it doesn't mean you won't get well. It's pretty clear to me that my part of the country is fairly toxic based on several factors I'm considering...and just one being that there are three people that I know of from my general area that have shown up at Mel's conference calls in just this last year! I've listened to almost all the conference calls and have never noticed as many people from any one given area. In a perfect world we'd all live in a place with clean air and water and no toxic industry or pesticides in the environment. However...since many of us don't have that choice, then we have to work with what we have. I think this can be worked around...because one of the three people from my area is already well! AND...she actually lives closer to a lot of petro chem industry. We may not have the choice for what goes on outside our house...but we can choose to rid our bodies and homes of toxins by ingesting natural foods and supplements and by only using nontoxic soaps and cleaning products, etc. I believe the "sum of the parts" is so powerful... and that implementing all the "parts" can override many other factors if we're disciplined (my biggest challenge when I'm tired) and when we keep a positive mental attitude. Karen, I just wanted to thank you for the encouragement comment on the conference call this morning, stating you live in a toxic area and you can get better with the protocol and sticking to it. I tried to get back on the call to thank you but time ran out. We all need positive help through this terrible disease.
