Dear Jean,

Do see if you can get your iodine levels checked.
Low iodine causes lots of problems including that of less resistance to the radiation around us.

Food... Eating well on less.
I do know food is much cheaperin US than UK as daughter and son were both on Harvard courses and told me all about the food.

Avocadoes...one of the foods recommended for us are twice the price in uk.

I too have very little to manage on. I can do no cooking and if pasta or white rice arrives on my plate the seagulls have it. Fortunately we get lots of salads and vegetable soups.

No pasta, no bread, no sugar,no processed food, are the main things to remember.

If you eat brown rice then soak it overnight and rinse before cooking.

Until the gut is healed avoid grains including oats.
You can have nuts, avocadoes, tomatoes, salads, green, red or purplevegetables, blueberries and raspberries or strawberries.....if they agree with you.

If you are vegan it will be harder as eggs are very good and high in protein and sulphur.

Natural yogurt with a few almonds and blueberries and chia seeds makes a good breakfast.
I add a date to mine now and again....because my body says i can

Alternate with eggs , fried in olive oil or scrambled.
Some say Ezekiel bread is ok? We do not have it here.
Butter is good as is a little cheese if it suits you.

Turkey or chicken legs can be cooked gently to make a hearty soup with vegetables added(avoid root veg).

Tahini dip with raw vegetable slices makes a light lunch.
A little good meat is enough.

Ifyou like fish then buy a tiny piece of wild Alaskan salmon...... Full of omega oils and first class protein.

Do not eat foods with gluten in.

Buy the vegetables in season and have them lightly cooked or fried or roasted.

A nice curry can be made from vegetables. Use onions and garlic in all veg dishes.

Try to vary a simple diet.

Cook cabbage lightly and add caraway seeds. Besides being good for you they enhance the flavor.

There are wonderful recipes on here but if the cost of special flours and such is too much then just take from them what you can.

Coconut milks can substitute for dairy if you wish.

Green tea makes me sick.I use Roobos and a coffee substitute.
Ginger and lemon tea is nice too and pomegranite ,rose and sumac.

You learn to adapt to new flavors and texture

You can feed yourself on 5 dollars a day but it takes
a bit of careful buying.

Chew your food slowly and carefully and it will taste better and help your gut.

Have you room to grow herbs in pots?

I wish you everything good on your journey to wellness.
Remember God is with you every step of the way.

Love and God Bless.
