Morgellons - Five Years Later

Well, I have some good news.

It’s been almost five years since my Lyme/Morgellons storm. As most of you know, you just don’t seem to get sick with even the common cold after that. Mel always told me that the first cold/sinus infection/flu/whatever is a good sign...that the immune system is perhaps trying to make a comeback because you have done something right.

Well, it just happened to me. I got sick Sunday night with something that caused me to experience sneezing fits, a dry cough, an achy body, a fever just over 100 (hopefully, it killed a few microbes during the short time it registered), and fatigue. By Tuesday, it was on its way out. It wasn’t COVID, fortunately. I’ve never been so darn happy to be sick in my 56 years of life.

Keep on plugging away, everyone. Just keep trying to get better in slow and steady stages. Pray, pray, pray...I’ve done so much of it that God probably is weary of me! (I know He is really not!)

I must say this, though. I saw an article on my newsfeed today about “chronic COVID.” How nice of the media and government to acknowledge this wonderful new illness yet almost completely ignore chronic Lyme and Morgellons!!! I will say this, though. The naturopathic medical community is well aware of Morgellons now, and that is a positive step in the right direction. That is yet another thing of which to be grateful!

Dear Jaime,

So very good to hear from you!! I have missed you girl!! I used to read all your posts. Because you were a school teacher too and had such interesting ones!!

Where have you been?? You were someone I looked for on the website. I am glad your still around!! Come back and join us if you have time!! I miss you!!

You probably could give us some good advice. I'm so glad you got a cold, it is a great sign!!! Yea Immune System!!!!!
