The Taco Soup turned out really good. I still have some containers in the freezer too. I really liked the Shrimp Thai Soup and that didn't last too long. I plan to make it again but with chicken next time. Shrimp is kind of expensive and I've had something similar with chicken so I know it'll be good. Lately, I've been doing a lot of recipe searches on Pinterest which is where I'm finding the majority of the recipes, but a couple are my own. It's been giving me a lot of good meal ideas and can gives me something positive to do instead of dwell on bad things. I've also made a creamy Cauliflower soup that you cook in vegetable broth and once the cauliflower is tender you use an immersion blender to puree. It's very simple and then you can freeze it and also use it as a base for other soups that require a creamy consistency (instead of cheese). I plan to make an artichoke spinach soup with it. These containers have been great! My freezer is filling up with lots of food options and that's been motivating me to cook even more. I also just purchased some larger containers and plan to use them for freezing homemade vegetable and chicken broth. I haven't made Karen's meatloaf just yet. It's on the radar though for one of the near-term future dinners. I'll let you know how it turns out, but I'm sure it's going to be great. I found a sugar-free bacon to use with it. The brand is Garret Valley and I got it at "Mom's Organic Grocery", but it might be sold at other stores as well. Our Lord doesn't change as shifting shadows like we who are created, and that's another reason that we know that we can confidently stand by the things He has said in His word. Otherwise it would be very chaotic not knowing from one day to the next where He stands on any given issue. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Amen Anna | |||
