I am very new to this condition and feel very lucky to have found all of you here on Mel's wonderful, generous website.
It was very nice to meet some of you and hear your positive post entries as my introduction to the group on my first Saturday conference call. Chrissy's post, even though they were all wonderful, Chrissy's post especially, had me in tears. It has been a very tough year trying to figure out what was happening to me. Twice, I was involuntarily committed for mental health evaluations. My own mother called her cancer doctor complaining of me taking a bleach bath to try to ease intense itching and using lysol to prevent her from getting whatever I had. She also believed it was in my head. My mother and son have now abandoned me completely and I have been fighting this while grieving the loss of my family. I also had to bury my oldest child at the age of 27 just last year. I had left CA to return to MO to care for mother who had stage 4 cancer. She turned out to be quite an obstacle for me trying to get medical treatment.
The stress of the estrangement has worsened my symptoms. I m driving myself back to CA in a few days where my bf of 17 yrs will be helping me stay on track to recovery
I have been alone in my room for 2 months waiting for my car tags in the mail and I have had some days where I just want to give up. I am sorry for the long post, but I wanted Chrissy to know why her words touched me so deeply.
Thank you everyone for sharing and for letting me be on this journey with you.
Much love, Candle. |
