7/2/2017 4:52:08 PM | Kathy...you have so much healing going on right now that your body and all your senses are on overtime. The sensory perception issues with taste and smell probably have you rattled more than you think...but don't buy into that kind of thinking about yourself...just be kind to yourself and patient too.
You didn't ask to get hurt in an accident or sick with a toxic disease...so feelings of shame about any of it don't make any sense. You'd probably benefit from telling yourself this truth often. You also need to remember that those of us who deal with MD aren't called Warriors for nothing. Standing up to this devil and fighting back with patience, persistence, and faith will make you way more awesome than you can imagine.
Your injuries will heal with time...and your MD will heal with you going after full throttle...and that means doing a lot of little things every day and not giving in to despair with the ups and downs that happen throughout the healing process...(lol...though we all get down from time to time...just don't stay there).
Don't back down. Don't let MD get inside your head and control your thinking about yourself. Be fierce...even when the fatigue makes you feel like you're dragging yourself around on the floor in a slow version of the army man crawl...because being fierce with MD isn't about energy...it's about consistency and patience all mixed together with a whole lot of faith.
So hang in there sister...you are already awesome because you've found this site and you'll now learn the things to do to kick MD to the curb.
I'm sending up prayers for you and your little girl.
You'll do this Kathy!
Love,
Karen |
