I also suffered off and on from gritty eye in my left eye. My left eye had been a problem from the beginning (also my left ear). I got a prescription from my doctor, the ointment that they use for conjunctivitis. It really helped! I put in all around my upper and lower lashes at bedtime when it is necessary, and I also put a drop of silver in my eye. Within a couple of days the grittiness is gone. I called my doctor and told them I was exposed to conjunctivitis and I now have it, so they just called the prescription in for me.
A couple of weeks ago MD tried to make a comeback because it does not like the protocol that is protecting my body. I just stayed calm and treated the symptoms daily, and the comeback failed and retreated.
One more thing....two separate times I had a sudden broken blood vessel in my left eye. The second time I decided to go to the opthamologist and see what he could see in my eye. He had no answer for it, but I have read that MD can cause this to happen to your eyes. Just wanted to mention it in case it happens to you, don't panic. It goes away.
