I just want to add to my response that I got the technique for loosing the eggs out of my eye lashes and eyebrows from my optomologist MD. He even gave me a step-by-step brochure on the technique. After he tried numerous drops including steroids. He also saw the eggs along my lash lines and said it is Blepharitis caused by a low immune system. Only he suggested baby shampoo twice per day with the technique. It did help, but I saw remarkable improvement With the Trader Joe's tee tree tingle body wash. Currently I am drop free after 2 years of drops.
I was not suggesting to rub the eyelid briskly but the lash line to exfoliate the eggs after applying the Tea Tree Wash. Sometimes, I even use a cotton swab. I use the same technique on my eyebrows as the dr said the hair follicles are were the eggs hang out. Here is a link about Blebpharitis and the technique for cleaning the bio films: http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/blepharitis.htm#blepharitis-dry-eyes I do however recommend people see an optomologist MD that can see the condition with a microscope device. I know this technique helped me tremendously and I suffered with gritty, pinching red eyes for 2 years. I hope this can help some people with the same problems. God Bless, Deborah |
