I have been flooded with emotions all weekend with the darkness of Passover and amidst the fury of this current storm. Saturday's call was a bright light in the midst of the darkness... a ray of hope and joy and gratitude that has emerged from suffering.
Today as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ our King, I am reminded of the absolute power of light over darkness, and love over fear. It is a breathtaking scene to see all of humanity paused from the grind of our routines and focused on our collective mortality.
We see the Passover literally being reenacted before our eyes and to know that while this Easter is a time of suffering and fear, it is also a time of incredible harvest from darkness to light... from lost to found... from despair to hope.
This morning I noticed that my blueberry bushes are excitedly bursting forth with new life - totally oblivious to the crisis of spiritual warfare going on around us.
In each of these special ways, I was thankful to be reminded that our God is a God of renewal, and all of creation declares His glory.
Christ is Risen!
He is Risen indeed! |
