I, for one, and really proud of you for taking the plunge. We have all been where you are at some point. Churchill was SO right: you, along with the rest of us, can NEVER give up. We will get there, slow and steady.
Ironically, right before I read your post, I had just finished doing my “homework” for the Bible study of which I am part. I find the Bible very comforting. Some day, you will feel up to going to church again. In the beginning, I stopped going to church as well. Not because I had lost my faith but because I just couldn’t drag myself out of bed after working full-time all week and catching up with domestic tasks on Saturdays. I still don’t go every weekend, but I’m slowly making it part of my weekend routine again.
I’m glad that you are participating in the Sunday prayer and fellowship calls. They always fill me with the spirit.

Here is a portion of 1 John 14 that I just read today. I think I read it so that I could share it with you. I have taken the liberty of replacing “young men” with “Ruth” so that it hopefully feels more personal to you. It’s a little trick my minister taught me when I need to feel as though God is speaking to me personally:
“I write to you, RUTH, because you are STRONG, and the word of God abides in you.”
