How much dairy is okay? Or none is better?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if it's okay to take whipping cream? Well it's dairy thats why I'm asking. Is it best to completely cut out dairy? Basically, I have seen in stores where they sell dairy milk but it's lactose free. However, I have been allergic to cheese since young.

Also I wanted to ask if small amounts of white rice is alright? I have recently switched to brown rice. But I do want to get well so I'm willing to give up certain foods if I need to!

Any advice will be very appreciated.

Hi Emma,

Quinoa is my favorite grain and it agrees with me better than white or brown rice. I can't really tolerate white rice at all right now.

I am still wanting to try the cauliflower rice that Chrissie mentions.

Check out the recipe section to see the wonderful recipes posted there using cauliflower rice!

I have heard that mashed cauliflower fixed like mashed potatoes is very delicious and good for you also.

Hi Emma,
Yes I would avoid dairy as much as possible as the lactose turns to sugar in the body.
Coconut cream is a great substitute for whipping cream :-). It is absolutely delicious!
I wouldn't eat white rice, or any refined carbohydrates, as again they turn to sugar in the body too.
Try cauliflower rice, I absolutely love it! With a little lemon juice over the top it's a great rice substitute!
You know, since I found cauliflower rice, I don't miss rice at all!
Best wishes,
Chrissie
