8/29/2014 2:03:37 PM | Hello Derek, As you know I am not a doctor, but I am happy to provide you with some feedback. I really think your focus on healing the gut is spot on. Dysbiosis, leaky gut, IBS, and candida overgrowth are all common in Morgellons sufferers who suffer from a failure of the bioterrain. It makes sense when you consider that most of the immune system’s army resides in the gut. However, leaky gut refers to a condition in which the wall of the small intestine becomes compromised and allows large protein fragments into the blood stream, triggering among other things, inflammatory responses by the immune system. Whatever is coming out of your skin, it is not your food. Much of our protocol is aimed at restoring digestion and assimilation of nutrients and reducing overall inflammation. As you have noted, healing the gut is critical to restoring the bioterrain and reclaiming your health. L-glutamine is very soothing to the gut as are the omega three fats in Essential Omegas. Parabolish may be helpful in some cases, but it is designed as an occasional parasite cleanse. We are most excited about adding the new Rennaissance Activated Whey as the seventh and final component of the Burgstiner Wellness Protocol because of its potential to promote healing in the gut and bathe the cells in amino acids, the very building blocks of life. I love Mel’s new nickname for it, “Rocket Fuel for the Elderly”! Most everyone is reactive now to the mainstay gmo crops you mentioned, and that will only worsen over time. Try to avoid them. Enemas can certainly be helpful at times, but as with everything else, they can be overdone. Remember when you flush the colon, you eliminate the good guys too! Coffee enemas do stimulate and flush the liver and gall bladder which can be helpful in cases of extreme toxicity, but you don’t want the body to become dependent on them. Keep up the good work Derek and don't look back. You are right on track! Blessings, John |
