Yes, I have had this experience during my journey back. I believe that the tiny round globule that you are seeing is the sebaceous gland from the base of the hair shaft. Bacterial and parasitic infection can cause what are called "sebaceous cysts" when this oil producing gland becomes infected. So, I see this as a good thing where a dead gland is causing the hair to shed out.
This will improve in time, so no worries. Hope this helps.
