I had terrible head itching, crawling and burning on my scalp in the onset of this disease. I had much hair loss too. But I have found a lot of relief with Trader Joe's Tingle Tea Tree line of products. I use all 3 products they carry in that line. The Tingle tea tree shampoo, the Tingle Tree Tea condioner, and the Tingle Tea Tree body wash.
It is rather inexpensive at only $4.95 per bottle. I could feel it working almost immediately but it took about 4-5 uses to really feel the difference. It is the demondex mite that attacks hair follicles.
The demondex mite gets out of control with a suppressed immune system. They hate Tee Tree oil and peppermint. Both of which are in each of the Trader Joe's Tea Tree products. I use the body wash also on my eyelashes and eyebrows and including my whole body.
