Many LLMDs do use IV antibiotics which may be helpful for some depending upon their overall infection load and the current stage of development of their disease.
While they might benefit those with acute infection, those with chronic persistent Lyme might not see as much benefit. Lyme coinfections are notorious for their pleomorphic (shape shifting) abilities and their tendency to migrate to tissues with poor blood supply. |
