Hello Sarah

I want to lift you up and send you more encouragement, strength, and love. So many of us here have struggled with devastating life experiences similar to yours. It makes me wonder why. But then I see how many of us here have come to see more clearly too. We come face to face with what we have already overcome through the lens of our disease. We say, "here we go again," and we dig down deep and find a reason to continue.

I taught developmentally disabled public school students for many years. I knew in my heart that I was making a difference in their lives, but my own life long issues with anxiety together with their struggles led to alcoholism. Alcoholism then led to unemployment and homelessness.

When Morgellons arrived in 2012, I was celebrating over 10 years of sobriety. I had fought my way back to meaningful employment, and I was back in my own apartment. For a short time, I lost the will to go on and I did not want to live any more. But then came the miracle of faith. It came in a simple phone call from Mel.

And so began the most difficult journey of them all. But in those past struggles l found how they could remind me of how strong I truly was. And I found God. Hope and purpose arrived by showing up each day and I got well.

The discoveries and the experience of recovery has been the greatest event in my life. I believe it will be the same for you. There is something greater in each of us than we know. You have every assurance of success if you remain here. Just show up each day and do your best. Make the bible your best friend and let this community become your sanctuary. "I believe in you." And so do you! You have already proven that.

Strength and Love,
peter
