Hello Rockin Robin and Everyone,

I wanted to just say thank you for spending the time to encourage us newbies. We all have busy lives, and your reminders are so helpful!

I cried a little bit during last Sunday's prayer meeting because my favorite scripture is Phillippians 4:8-12, basically, think of what is beautiful, what is noble, what is pure, what is praiseworthy, etc. The entire theme of everyone's scripture readings was Phillippians verses just before, landing me right at my favorite verse.

Also -

I really appreciate the very basic, natural common sense from everyone here...
I can't remember where I first saw it, but there is a reminder of sleep being so important to healing, and I really needed to read that! I've been surviving on 6 hrs a night for over a year, and I knew it was not enough. But I just couldn't seem to get to bed earlier.

When I read that advice here, it made me put things in perspective, that first things first - we must get sufficient sleep, good food, have faith. So now I'm making a huge effort to get more sleep.

It struck me that a lot of these changes to our lifestyle are so emotionally based and psychological. There I was eating a salad for lunch (never my first choice!), and my doctor had suggested going on a blood type diet, so I thought I was so smart to use almond butter as my salad dressing. Well, in the fridge it becomes firm, and it doesn't melt quickly, so I had this lump of almond stuff in my salad, making my salad experience even worse than normal. LOL.

THEN I read about your olive oil/lemon juice (I dropped the salt/pepper) dressing, and voila!!! I felt like I was a normal human being again, enjoying my salad. It's this feeling of NOT being deprived. Here is a perfectly palatable salad dressing, simple as can be, healthy as can be, and this community was right again!

So thank you to everyone who has posted recipes to help us feel not-so-deprived in the middle of a horrible disease. My best recipe is the one with the fewest ingredients.

I was all over the place, but thank you so, so much!

Blessings,
Bonnie
