| Hi Cheryl,
It's a wonderful story and I like the idea of them being like ice flowers falling to the ground. It's too bad that we can't see the beautiful shapes unless they're under a microscope. I love all of the detail and how different they appear from one another.
One year I bought a book of snowflakes from Michaels Craft store and tried my best to replicate them with paper. Some of them turned out pretty good but there's nothing better than to have snowflakes that look like the one's God designed.

| Hi Anna,
I loved the story of William "Snowflake" Bentley and his "ice flowers". The snowflakes are beautiful, and they truly do look like ice flowers.
It is interesting how the work he did photographing snowflakes before they could melt went unappreciated for years.
I suppose when God looks at falling snow, He sees untold numbers of ice flowers floating to the ground. That is a wonderful thought.

| Hi Anna,
Bentley's snowflakes are absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for sharing. I love how each snowflake is so different from the next...and the shapes are exquisite! I look forward to showing these to my art students.
