Morgellons -

Hello Folks

I read where Robin reminded everyone of the importance of posting. So I thought I would generate some posts to follow her lead. I will try to keep them simple and short. And in them I will share with you where other Logos products will help. I'll start with "leaky gut."

What is "leaky gut" and why is it important to you?

Leaky gut is essentially where our intestinal lining gets too porous. Along our intestinal tract, we have many microvilli, which are finger-like hairs that absorb our nutrients and eliminate waste. Only liquid or very small molecules of digested food should get through. If these microvilli get damaged, (from things like gluten, glyphosate, and modified foods) it can lead to the intestinal barrier becoming “leaky” and our intestinal lining becoming too porous. This allows things like waste products, toxins, and other bad things to seep through the membranes and enter the blood stream. The immune system then mounts a response to what they see as foreign bodies that don't belong.

Okay, so we get what leaky gut is but what is the big deal?

The reason leaky gut is such a huge issue is that those bacteria, toxins, food proteins and other larger molecules, (once they’ve passed through,) are seen as foreign bodies in the blood stream. This makes the immune system go haywire, causing heightened inflammation. Leaky gut, over time, will lead to conditions such as Celiac disease, Crohn’s, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Arthritis, Allergies, Asthma, Liver disease, Obesity, Lupus, Multiple sclerosis, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and ultimately, Morgellons.

Probably the most important protection from leaky gut is your gut flora. Having many different strains is essential to healing and keeping those tight junctions of your intestinal wall intact. During my recovery, I would cycle in a bottle of Logos Magniflora 7 with my lunchtime meal every 2 to 3 months. The additional 7 strains in this probiotic are especially effective for reducing candida overgrowth, which we know is a big part of our disease. John has a put a very informative PDF on the Logos website that will give you much more information about the powerful properties of Magniflora 7. I would encourage you to read it.

In my next post here....to keep this thread active.... I will share why L-Glutamine is among the most important nutrients available for healing leaky gut. Logos also provides L-Glutamine.

Strength and Love,
Peter
