Chrissie 10/16/2024 7:56:58 PM | Dear All, Five months ago Holly my spaniel had a crackling noise re the stethoscope as fluid was around her heart and in her lungs. I was told she is in heart failure and she may not have long. It was unknown how long she would have. Well, I rushed into action and studied studiously. Alongside her heart medicine from vet I give her Hawthorne Berry, Ubiquinol, Dandelion root and leaf tincture, Nettle and Apis Mel homeopathy for fluid issues and Berberis homeopathy for kidney health. And milk thistle for liver health. Alongside probiotics, prebiotics, herbs for immunity etc. So although she is in heart failure today she no longer has fluid around her heart and in her lungs. Amazing amazing amazing!!!:-). Everything I'm doing is helping her. That and also she knows I'm working around the clock to help and Love her. And she too still wants to be here! Love keeps us going as does determination!! She's 14 this month which is old for a spaniel. So please join me in sending Love and Prayers to Holly that she continues to heal and be strong!! I love this wee Petal and she me!! Chrissie and Holly :-)
Chrissie 11/16/2024 9:09:41 AM | Dear Sunny and Nancy, Thank you so much for writing in regards to Wee Holly. Yes she's absolutely beautiful isn't she, even at the old age of 14 she's lovely:-). Well, sadly her recent blood test showed kidney disease, liver issues, some anemia and inflammation in digestive tract, liver or intestines. The vet said there could be a possibility of something even more sinister and wanted a scan. I said no, not just money wise but also I don't believe intuitively that it could be a tumour as she has put on weight this year. I think it's inflammation in her system and I think her Liver enzymes are elevated because she's been on medicine that over time affects the liver. So I'm treating her for kidney, liver issues with herbs like dandelion, burdock, nettle and milk thistle. Hopefully the nettle with it's iron content will also help the slight anemia and help inflammation. I used tinctures with vegetable glycerine instead of alcohol, much more suitable for animals, especially with liver issues. I wish I had a herbal vet but I can't afford one so I do extensive research and work intuitively. So far so good ...this approach has done us good for a long time! And she's still getting ubiquinol and hawthorn berry for her heart issues alongside vet meds around the clock. So, we STILL fighting through it all. Both of us doing the absolute best we can as she still wants to be here the wee petal. I hope you are both doing well health wise!! And Nancy may your German shepherd still go strong for a good while yet:-). They are beautiful intelligent dogs! Aw Sunny thank you so much for your prayers for Holly and I ....much much appreciated. She's all I have got so she means everything to me. Love Chrissie and Holly
Nancy 11/1/2024 10:47:59 AM | Beautiful Holly, I am so glad she is better. Our German Shepherd is getting old and hard of hearing sometimes now we have to take here food to her, but I think she just likes to get spoiled. Rusty is so good with the dogs. Pray you are doing good.!
