Karen 10/16/2018 9:55:08 AM | Hi Everyone, If you've been reading my posts, you know that I have a doctor who recognizes Morgellons disease. I went to see her on October 2nd, and in the course of our conversation, she mentioned that she was getting ready to go to the International Lyme Conference which is in Chicago this year on November 1st through 4th. She said there's going to be a one day session on Morgellons and she seemed excited about learning more. Because of this conversation, I did a google on the conference and found this site International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) 19th Annual Conference I looked through the course offerings and didn't see Morgellons, but maybe it's just described in some other way on the course titles. In any case, it was just so interesting to see the things that Lyme Literate doctors have the opportunity to learn now. It warms my heart that there are people in the medical field who are opening their minds to things other than standard treatment / attitudes. To me...these are the real heroes of allopathic medicine right now. They are obviously individuals who are motivated more by patient need rather than just financial gain. In speaking with my doctor, I mentioned Mel's protocol. She was very interested and she wrote down his website and said she'd tell her patients about it. She asked if he was going to speak at the conference, and I said no. She said he should, and I told him so. I just looked at the speaker list, and though most are MD's, some are people who have a large degree of experiential background like Mel. I told Mel he should submit an application to speak at the Lyme Conference 2019, and I hope he'll think about it. He would be able to help so much. I also noticed there's a vendor section in the conference...and there's an application to submit if a vendor wants to have a booth at the conference. I really think John B. should do this and Cathee from Kleen Green too. This would get a lot of helpful information out there to the physicians who are interested. Just food for thought.
