Hello Everyone!

I read Karen's post about measures of success! Thank you Karen for sharing! I get so much out of reading everyone's posts. I learn and get uplifted each time I read!! As Karen asked us to share some measures of success, I thought I would try to list some of mine. So, here goes:

1. Feeling normal again -Once I found the website and community, people who understood and knew this was a real disease, I did not feel crazy, shunned, and lonely any longer!!

2. Relief from symptoms - From reading posts and asking others who were and are going through this same ordeal, I learned information that would help me stop some of the symptoms and help me cope with other symptoms.

3. A family connection - I feel like I have a new family in the community!! This family is caring, compassionate, and loving! And, you get the gift of Mel - who has given his life to helping all of us who suffer in the past, now, and in the future!
Thank You So Much Mel !!!!!

4. Immediate family acceptance - through this process, my own family finally came to understand and accept this disease and my suffering with it.

5. Doctor for blood tests - God, Mel, and several girls in the community helped me find a doctor in Houston who would give me blood tests and monitor my progress without forcing me to take antibiotics but approved the protocol and actually told me that they are seeing that antibiotics are not really helping much!!

6. Closer to God - This disease and process has brought me so much closer to God and has strengthened my faith. You can't know how many times I have thought of the story of Job in the Bible during this process so far!! I hate to say it, but truthfully, this disease has made me a better person, a better Christian, and a better servant of God!! I just hate that it took this for me to stop and re-evaluate everything in my life!!

7. Grateful - I am grateful for everyday I am blessed with whether I have symptoms or not!! I am grateful for everything!!!

These are what I thought of as my measures of success so far. For me, they are huge!!!!!

Onward in the battle, I won't give up!!! God is our eternal hope!! And you know what Mel says about hope!!

LOVE to you all, HUGS,
Rockin Robin
