On Saturday's conference call, one of the things discussed was apple cider vinegar (ACV). (To hear Saturday's conference call, please listen to the audio posted in More Communication Is Better.) We all want to use the very best quality ACV available. The go to ACV for many of us in the toxic disease community has been Bragg Organic Raw-Unfiltered ACV. Recently, I was watching a video and learned that the Bragg company was sold in 2020. I also learned that Bragg ACV now contains water. That's right! It's now diluted. I went to the refrigerator and looked at the label on my Bragg ACV bottle, and sure enough, it read: Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Water. Diluted to 5% acidity. Notice that the acidity has been diluted to 5%! If you're looking for a full strength, no water added, raw and unfiltered ACV, a great choice would be Fairchild's. Fairchild's ACV ingredients: Certified Organic Apples. 6.3% acidity. That's it! No water added. Acidity not diluted. Two places Fairchild's ACV can be purchased are Amazon and Fairchild's website. Fairchild's website: https://www.fairchildsvinegar.com/product/2-pack-of-32-oz-bottles/ I'm including a link to the video I watched on ACV. It contains other great information as well. For instance, did you know that the "Mother" in ACV is not the sediment that has settled too the bottom of the container? The Mother is really friendly bacteria and enzymes that cannot be seen. The sediment at the bottom is the leftovers from the fermentation process, and means that the ACV is unfiltered. Here is a link to the video (which is only 4 minutes and 39 seconds long): The Myth of the Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) "Mother" Dr. Eric Berg DC https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j7wLGQfoCcI&pp=ygUnZHIgYmVyZyB0Z2UgbXl0aCBvZiBhcHBsZSBjaWRlciB2aW5lZ2Fy Seeing that my Bragg's ACV now has water added, reminded me of the importance of being diligent to read labels, even when buying familiar products!
