Hi Chris,

Let me just start by saying that I truly know and understand what you are going through. I also saw these "ghoulish-looking things" in my refrigerator, food, counters and floors. But, as Mel says, as you get better, your environment will too. This is absolutely true! But in the meantime, I will tell you what I did to alleviate it and some of my anxiety about it.

First, I completely emptied my refrigerator and gave it a good cleaning. Then I sprayed it with Kleen Green in a fine mist and let it dry before putting things back. I continued to wipe refrigerator shelves often with Kleen Green. Then I took one cabinet/drawer at a time in my kitchen, emptied it, put the dishes in the dishwasher and wiped out the cabinet with Kleen Green. I did this because I wanted to make sure that it wasn't getting into my food through pots, dishes or utensils.
When I put my storage containers back, I made sure to put the covers on them. I know it takes up more space but then when I went to use them, I knew there was nothing in them. I did the same with pots.

Also, I did something that maybe others find a little strange. I put small cedar blocks, like people put in their closets, in my lower cabinets and drawers and every day I would put a few drops of cedar essential oil on these blocks. (I still do this but not everyday.) It seemed that these were the areas that were most affected. I'm sure you could use other things to put the cedar oil on that may take up less room and be less expensive. In my opinion, the cedar oil absolutely helped.

Always keep your food covered as much as possible. Clean your counters and floors as often as you are able to with Kleen Green or something non-toxic. Make sure you don't exhaust yourself because that won't help your healing.

I hope this helped. Sorry I was so long winded, but if you have more questions, please just ask.

God Bless,

Donna
