Years ago I did various forms of meditation for many years, at one point i did Raja yoga meditation for hours almost leaving my body everything became white I didn't even sense my physical being just white. At one point my dear cat karma was suffering and I stayed up all night giving her hands on healing and used crystals and I stupidly asked the universe to let me have her pain instead.
Instead of asking it to flow out into the ether.
I was young and niave and idealistic. I took the crystals put one on my heart the other under my pillow and went to sleep. I awoke later with electric energy pulsing through my body and when I touched the cat my arm would shake right up to my heart and it palpitated. My cat had heart palpitations herself. I asked friends to touch me and they felt the electrical energy go down their arms. I later realised I had opened up some strange kundalini energy.
I stopped meditating and tried hard to ground myself. But years later when my cat was old and infirm the dead bird appeared on my windowledge (I did not know it was infested with bird mites) and as I was struggling to accept impermanence I naively thought the presence of death was there to show me about impermanence.
So I said out loud, ""are you here little bird to help me accept death and loss, please teach me this. " Well shortly afterwards the nest came through my fireplace, I got swarmed at and bitten by hundreds of tiny mites on my feet and contracted morgellons, lost my home, cat died and lost my belongings.
So... I surely found out about impermanence.. That was what I asked for.
I only wanted to accept that I'd lose my little beautiful furry soul mate.
But, yes be very careful for what you ask for as the lesson may come not the way you expect.
It could have been a bizarre coincidence, but it still chills me that it all happened after this request.
