It’s been an interesting month for me. I’ve had some increase in symptoms, but know from Mel and from some of your posts we will have this occur even when moving toward our better health. I went on a trip with my extended family that was planned before my symptoms began. I was apprehensive about going to unknown lodging, and afraid I was going to have reactions and need to find a way to get myself home without spoiling the trip for others. All went better than I expected. I packed handiwipes that I used to wipe my skin when I felt itching and had very little biting symptoms in the car rides. My family had their car detailed, and I think that helped reduce my reactions. I felt itching symptoms in feet & legs in all the rooms we stayed in (three different places). I thought this might happen, so I had packed rubbing alcohol in small spray bottles & sprayed the carpets and bedding. This is flammable, so I carried it in my purse & never left it in the car on our journey. WPS would undoubtedly be a better alternative, in the future. I had no trouble sleeping in the rooms once I aired them out after spraying. It was so good to get out and sightsee, which took my mind off my everyday challenges. Being out in nature, seeing Gods creation, was a positive experience despite the extra preparation and anxiety about the unknown beforehand. The seals were resting on the beaches with their young, the otters were bobbing in the ocean wrapped in kelp to keep them from drifting, the deer were nibbling away at new shoots, thundering waterfalls sending down the snowmelt into Yosemite Valley. Some of the sights we saw on our coastal and national park touring. Let me encourage you to get outside, if you can, and get some time in nature. It can take your mind off this current challenge and give you rest. Love to you all, Denise | |||
